The Adecco Group, the world's second largest Human Resources provider and temporary staffing firm, and a Fortune Global 500 company, is looking for a Head of Product to join the Common Backends team at the Berlin Technology Center.

The Head of Quality Common Backends will be responsible for creating and owning the overall quality and testing strategy of the Common Backends and the whole CBE services portfolio. CBE is a global, multi-region, highly available service platform being used by the Adecco Group to support their new digital and web-based services, working with best practices, group compliance & protocols.


  • Define software release processes and guidelines
  • Align with product, security, and quality teams on release criteria (Definition of Done)     
  • Gather metrics from all stages of SDLC and help to define baselines to enable optimization of tool chains and processes in a CI/CD driven environment
  • Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution/automation of deployments and checklists
  • Classic release manage functions: release alignment,  change management, dependency management, release lifecycle
  • Run Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
  • Research new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyse their application to current configuration management needs


  • More than 8 years’ experience with release management and automation in a platform/backend service context
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience with highly fragmented environments
  • CI/CD experience and modern continuous release mindset
  • Collaborative mindset
  • Experienced in an international and corporate environment
  • Ability to communicate and work with several groups of stakeholders


  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Travel Requirement: Regular (20-50%)


  • Able to demonstrate leadership by example
  • Visionary leadership and strategic mindset
  • Experience with leading international engineering or product teams
  • Strong leadership skills and team player
  • Experience in both multinational and multi-cultural environments
  • Ability to coach and help to develop junior leaders and engineers
