JOB SUMMARY:

Adecco is hiring a Senior Analyst, Accounting & Finance who will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis, preparing and remitting payroll taxes and various monthly accounting entries, reconciliations and reporting.  We are looking for a dynamic self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and contribute to the accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reporting, forecasting and annual budgeting processes.

This position is remote and candidates can be located anywhere in Canada. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    1. Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities including journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations
    2. Prepares weekly, monthly reporting for Senior Management  
    3. Prepares monthly Adecco CM TER reports, Client sales/GP report
    4. Completing Workers compensation returns monthly, quarterly and annually
    5. Assists with monthly review of balance sheet account reconciliations, verification of client rebate calculations.
    6. First point of contact on queries from the field, senior management and corporate head office P&L inquiries
    7. Maintains register and accounting of bank deposits
    8. Amex administrator
    9. Verifies accuracy of Catalyst invoices for Corporate charges prior to approval
    10. Prepares branch budget template, assists field with issues, consolidates into regions with annual budgets and monthly forecasts
    11. Prepares year-end reporting of payroll tax and workers compensation returns including balancing of T4 and RL1 returns
    12. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
About you

We want to set you up for success! To help us do that, here is what we are looking for from you:

  • Completion of post-secondary education in Finance/Accounting
  • Have or are pursuing an Accounting designation
  • A minimum of three to five (3-5) years progressive experience in a related field
  • PeopleSoft, Oracle and Microstrategy experience
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Teams and Outlook
  • Demonstrates business professionalism, respect for confidentiality and experience handling sensitive information
  • Superior organization skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced organization
  • Displays accuracy and quality with superior attention to detail a must
  • Proactive and able to solve problems effectively and rapidly using excellent analytical skills
  • Proven consistent high levels of customer service performance, with an ability to build strong colleague relationships
  • Ability to function well in both in a team atmosphere and independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with a demonstrated ability to work across an organization to obtain resources and provide support and expertise
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
